Roots

Boxing day, a little before noon, I walk in and I notice not too many customers in-store. As I walk around I have yet to be greeted. I look around & stop at a few tables and in the back of the store I find what I am looking for. I pick it up & walk around a little more and find the matching item to make it a set. I find the sizes I need and look around trying to find some help. 2 employees helping other customers one at the cash desk and one folding clothes. If it wasnt for the fact that I absolutely needed to buy the two items ( gifts being sent abroad ) I would have had no issues walking out. I am by no means a needy customer but items in hand looking for employees and still have not yet been greeted - is not a good look. As i approach the cask desk the employee folding clothes rushed to cash me out. I ask a few questions about holiday return timeline and a few questions about the items but they were answered with a simple yes/no manner. It goes without saying Roots Brand will sell itself, but their high customer service was always something that was known with their Brand. Things have changed in the passed 10 years since I worked for the brand I suppose. I still enjoy the Roots brand I may just think twice about shoppping at this location.

Bought a pair of Roots Tuff boots from here 15 years ago and they are still going strong. Still waterproof and comfy as hell. Well worn now but still wear them. Just need another pair but can’t seem to get them over here in the UK 🇬🇧 Fingers crossed the website will get them in stock again so I can get a new pair. Best boots I have ever bought.

What a great store! The staff was really friendly and helpful. My wife spent nearly and hour selecting a purse. The person assisting was there the entire time, showing her different options and providing her feedback. I received similar service when picking out a very cool sweatshirt, although it didn't take me so long :-). Thanks!

The staff helped us navigate the crazy amount of clothes and accessories available. If we tried on a shirt but wanted "longer sleeves, shorter sleeves, darker color, longer length..." Whatever we didn't like about something, they would have an alternative in a snap! It made it easy to shop and yet the price point is good for staple pieces in your wardrobe.

If you wanna buy something, you should go to the another store nearby. The clerks are not friendly. I told them I don’t wanna buy anything except the exact one but they kept recommending me to buy others. They just wanna sell their things. The reason why they got many stars should be people misunderstand it’s the another store on Burrard St X Robson St. They’re kind and friendly there.
